We teach over 50 classes a week to over 400 students, at all levels no matter
the age, offering the broadest range of dance & performing arts classes in the area! Including – Street Dance, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Singing, Musical Theatre, Melody Bear and FBI fitness classes. All classes are taught by experienced teachers and former professional dancers/singers & actors.  We offer all our students the opportunity to take optional I.S.T.D examinations in our Street Dance, Ballet, Tap & modern classes and LAMDA drama examinations. Over the past 30+ years, we have entered 1000’s of pupils and have an exemplary 100% pass rate, with the grades of “Distinction and Honours” being achieved by over 87% of our pupils.

Our teaching faculty have all spent many years training in their chosen fields and have amassed a huge amount of experience and knowledge.  Principle teachers Scott & Ross Simpson have performed all over the world dancing alongside artists such as Robbie Williams, Geri Halliwell and Kylie Minogue, to name but a few on productions such as MTV – Top of the Pop – Smash Hits and the Brits Awards. Our teachers have also choreographed for top shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and Top of the Pops, as well as numerous, Pop videos, trade and fashion shows.

Makin’ Steps offers its pupils some of the best facilities in the area. With 2 large dance studios equipped with mirrors, state of the art sound systems and acoustic sound treatment. A further fully equipped singing & musical theatre studio with a professional sound system, LED screens & a vast collection of music songbooks and scripts available. All complimented by a waiting area for parents, kitchen and changing facilities.
